In February 2012, four of the nine mega cases, or 44%, were filed in the Southern District of New York.  The rest were filed in the Bankruptcy Courts of Delaware, Middle District of Tennessee, Southern District of Florida, Eastern District of Michigan and South Carolina.

For the first two months of 2012, the Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Delaware and the Southern District of New York got the lion’s share of mega filings with five apiece while the Eastern District of Michigan came next with two.
