Freedom Communications Files for Chapter 11 to Sell Assets

Freedom Communications, Inc. and 24 of its affiliates sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in California with the intention of selling their assets to a group of local investors led by Rich Mirman, Freedom's chief executive officer and publisher.
